Daily Share - Are My Insecurities Clouding My Relationship?

My boyfriend and I have been together 9 months and it's been going great. I am 26 and he is 34. However, he was VERY hurt by his last relationship and pretty much claims to "hate" this woman. Additionally, I have had a few past relationships where I was left by the guys for their exes or other women. Obviously feeling like I'm second best has taken a toll on my self worth and flared my insecurities.

Well the current boyfriend is great. Very much makes me feel like I'm his number #1. However, there are times I catch him checking out other women, very often talking about bringing another woman into bed with us (bc he says it would be sexy to see me with another woman), and even found sex videos from him and his ex that he viewed during our relationship, and other old relationship 'stuff' still around his apartment. Additionally, I found a first FB message to a girl he met on vacation with his guy friends while we were together (nothing happened as I am mentioned in the message, but he was provoking dirty talk from this girl) All things I have found are because I've snooped out of curiosity of this ex that hurt him and wanting to know more about the relationship.

So I am trying to figure out if my insecurities are becoming fueled because I snooped and found things that are old and mean nothing to him or if I really do not trust him.

The second leg of this.... He talks about marrying me and our kids and growing old together and all that good stuff. So we have discussed me moving to his area because he owns a business and we need to have our first home/office there before we can buy a family home in the future. I find myself very hesitant and arguing that I'm giving up so much to move there, family, friends, my apt, location, and committing to a 90 minute round trip commute to work while I feel that he's not giving up anything. I'm starting to think that the reason I am arguing this is because it's more related to the insecurity/trust issue than actually just moving to his area.

Do you think I am flaring my own insecurities and it's causing me to drive myself crazy or do you think that I am valid in feeling that he is not trustworthy and moving on from the relationship is best?

Headbutt double knockout? Headbutt double knockout (VIDEO)

Double knockouts are already uncommon in MMA, but one happened in Poland over the weekend that is even more rare. Marcin Mencel and Mateusz Zawadzki headbutted each other, and their fight ended in a technical draw.

In case you weren't sure, that's why headbutts aren't allowed in MMA.

My gf of 5 months is on vacation with her ex; on a trip she originally invited me to go on. Before meeting up with him, and flying out, she sends me a chat message that she loves me and wished i was there through Google chat ( we use that instead of texting on our phones) and then she signs off!! She has been signed off for the whole night and morning and now I'm just livid.

I feel so disrespected, foolish and don't even know where to begin to address this with her. She clearly did not want to be disturbed when meeting up with him, clearly that is the case but is there any hope for a relationship that this occurs in???
I feel its not, am I overreacting?
I need advice on how to respond as well, I am livid right now and don't want to overreact.
Please give me your thoughts...Thank you.

EDIT 1:
Going dark, cutting off communication:
Facebook unfriended
Instagram blocked
Google+ photo album blocked
Number deleted
Hitting the gym
Lawyering up
wait wut

EDIT 2:
OK, phonecall number 1 incoming...

The only relationship here is the gf and the ex. If you think that you are anywhere in the equation you are dead wrong. YOU are now the ex.

How does she invite the ex on a vac and expect to keep up the illusion that she is with you?

You know they are having sex daily, right?

And you think that you and she are still together?

When she gets back keep some dignity and tell her to eff off.

You are under reacting if that's possible.

What do I tell her now??? Just that I am so ****ing pissed I can't even talk to you until you get back? Have fun with your ex on vacation???

Do you honestly think that you have a relationship with a woman who goes on a trip with another man, ex or not?

You know what they are doing, every day of that trip?

Tell her it's over or be a cuckold.

Look up the term if you don't know it.

There is NO relationship here. Both of them are laughing at you as they screw like rabbits.

YOU KNOW THIS.

Tell her NOTHING. Do NOT answer IMs; do NOT answer calls; do NOT answer texts (delete them UNREAD).

There is NOTHING this GIRL can say to you to justify this behavior. Sounds to me like she is way too immature to be marrying anybody (hence, the broken engagement). She should also NOT be dating anybody 'exclusively' as she, apparently, doesn't understand how THAT works, either.

Were you paying for everything in your relationship with her? Lending her money? Paying a few of her bills? Because this sounds pretty much like gold-digger behavior IMHO. Screw you enough to get what she wants, but continue to do what SHE wants the rest of the time.

I would GO DARK on her PERMANENTLY. You are NEVER HOME if she stops by. You NEVER answer her calls. You DELETE all voicemail messages THE SECOND you recognize her voice. You DELETE ALL texts from here UNREAD. You do NOT RESPOND to ANY TEXTS from her.

She made HER intentions clear when she got on a plane with another man (after un-inviting you). She declared any viable relationship with you OVER when she agreed to go away on a vacation with her ex.

I say, you owe her NOTHING. No note, no IM, no discussion, no nothing. C'mon, REALLY? Do you HONESTLY THINK she won't figure this out during her vacay with ex-fiance? If she CAN'T figure it out, then consider yourself well-rid of one dumb bimette.

Close race makes up for waning zeal in expat vote

BERLIN (Reuters) - With the presidential election too close to call, hundreds of thousands of Americans living in Europe have been posting their absentee ballots with a sense that they could truly make a difference on November 6.

From Berlin to Paris and London to Madrid, they have closely tracked the battle between Democrat President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney, though the emotional temperature is several degrees lower than four years ago, when most expats rallied behind Obama after two terms of George W. Bush, whom many thought had tarnished the U.S. image abroad.

Both the Republicans and Democrats have courted the expat vote since 1988, when absentee ballots reversed the outcome of a Senate race in Florida, allowing Republican Connie Mack to pip Democrat Buddy MacKay, who had led when polling stations closed.

Absentee ballots also made the difference in another Senate race in 2008. Democrat Al Franken came from 215 votes behind to win with the help of absentee votes.

The tightness of the presidential race, with a Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll showing a dead heat [ID:nL1E8LO7LJ], has made the expat vote arguably more important than ever. Both Republicans Abroad and Democrats Abroad organizations have gone all out to get Americans registered and voting in their home states.

"Americans in Germany are really excited about this year's election but nervous too," said Nancy Green, an opera singer who chairs the Democrats Abroad in Berlin. A New York state voter, she helped hundreds get registered in their states this year.

"Everyone knows it's going to be really, really close," she added. "People abroad realize our votes really count. We've done everything we can to find Americans and help them register."

U.S. citizens wanting to vote have to be registered in advance in a state, each with different rules and deadlines. Even though there is no data available about the distribution of the expat vote, it could have an impact in key swing states such as Ohio, Florida and Virginia.

MOST EXPATS FOR OBAMA?

"There's a high interest among expats in Germany, but I sense those on the Democrat side aren't as fervent today as they were in 2008," said Thomas Leiser of Texas, chairman of German's Republicans Abroad and a businessman in Frankfurt. "There's intense disappointment in President Obama's leadership."

The estimated 250,000 Americans in Germany - the fourth largest U.S. expatriate community in the world - traditionally leant toward Republican candidates, partly due to a large cohort of generally more conservative soldiers stationed there, and the coordinated efforts of the military to get absentee ballots to the 50,000 troops.

But that shifted in recent elections as disenchantment with Bush in Germany and across Europe grew - though political scientist James Walston of the American University in Rome believes expats in the military will still mostly vote Romney.

"The majority of soldiers will tend to be Republican voters because of the demographics," Walston said. "They tend to come from the Southern and Central states where the Republicans win."

But civilian expats appear to have been more influenced by the overwhelmingly pro-Obama stance of their European hosts. Many Americans in Europe, for instance, are baffled that Republicans oppose national health care, which most Europeans take for granted.

An opinion poll by the Emnid polling institute found 87 percent of German nationals would vote for Obama and only 5 percent for Romney if they had the chance to cast ballots. Those numbers are similar to polls of Germans taken four years ago.

In France, a CSA poll found 67 percent would prefer Obama versus 5 percent for Romney. In 2008 the same poll found 83 percent for Obama and 10 percent for Republican John McCain.

"Based on what I'm hearing, I'd say most expats are going to vote for Obama, probably about 90 percent," said Alan Benson, a leader of American Voices Abroad, which helps people register.

But Benson, a 53-year-old teacher who has lived in Germany for 47 years, said the enthusiasm for Obama was gone. "People were over-excited by Obama and got disappointed. Some people voted once in a lifetime in 2008. We met people who crawled out from under their rocks for that. But they're not coming back."

WHERE'S THE PASSION?

In Britain, where about 400,000 Americans live, several of them admitted the mood was subdued this time and they were less passionate about Obama. Most seem disillusioned as the promise of hope and change was dashed by partisan politics and Congressional obstacles.

"This election is different," said Kendred Dove, 25, a marketing executive whose vote will count in Arizona. "In 2008 there had been a real turn against Republicans after Bush. Obama symbolized a bright new future and had the celebrity factor. Neither candidate has the celebrity factor anymore."

American expats interviewed at random in Berlin, Paris, Madrid and Brussels said they were leaning towards Obama, but with less enthusiasm than in 2008.

But a vote's a vote, however zealous the voter.

"People may not be as passionate as in the last election, when we were voting for the first black American president and the end of the Bush years, but we are just as determined," said Brian Lee Ford, a psychotherapist in Madrid. "With Bush, it was embarrassing that we couldn't justify our foreign policy."

In France, where about 100,000 Americans live permanently, a short walk through a 17th century cobblestone courtyard in Paris leads you to the "Obama Meetup", where several dozen Democrats have assembled in a room decorated with a life-size cut-out of the president, blue Obama T-shirts and a few U.S. flags.

"France has one of the highest (U.S. expat) voter registration rates in the world. Congratulations everybody!" announced Eileen Bastianelli, who heads social media for Democrats Abroad.

Tom McGrath, 53, a banker at the helm of Republicans Abroad, said Americans were suffering in a deep recession and Obama would be held accountable.

"French people that I know can't really imagine Obama losing," he said. "They don't see Romney as a serious contender. They just cannot imagine Americans would throw out Obama. What they miss is that Americans haven't experienced the type of economic situation that we've been through since the 1930s."
