With six of the seven members of the team that made it to the state meet last year returning this season, the Bonney Lake High School girls cross country team is poised to make another run at a title.
Seniors Marie Wilson, Sierra Espinal, Mckenzie Voellger, Hope Dickson, Maddison Liddle and junior Haley Theriault are all back from last year's team.
On the boy's side, junior Nolan Weber also made it to the state meet last year and is returning again this year to the squad.
In addition, coach Andrew Foster said senior Ryan McGraw and sophomore Jacob Bohl will also take leadership roles this season. Foster also said he expects new runner Jacob Curtis, a junior, to make an impact as the squads make the push toward another postseason berth.
"We have a goal to get both teams to state," Foster said in an email.
