The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Physics, Geography invites applications for a
W3 Professorship for Mathematics (Analysis)
as of October 1st, 2013
Reference is made to ? 61 section 7 Hessisches Hochschulgesetz (HHG) and to conditions of employment based on ? 62 HHG. Proficient knowledge of German is expected. Candidates should exhibit an outstanding qualification according to the following profile:
The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent international research record in an active area of Analysis. He or she should be capable to interact with the existing research groups at the Mathematical Institute, in particular with the existing group in Analysis, and should have a demonstrated experience in obtaining research funding.
Teaching duties include courses in the following study programs: BSc/MSc Mathematics, education of teachers, mathematics for natural sciences. A strong commitment to teaching is as important as an eminent qualification for scientific work. Integration of gender aspects into teaching activities is strongly desirable. Candidates should be involved in international research collaborations, should be able to teach in English and help to improve the international visibility of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Physics, Geography.
