A Cannondale road bike is worth considering

Road bikes are again a growing section of the biking market. It is regaining popularity after years where mountain bikes controlled a big portion of the market. Today biking enthusiasts are starting to trade in their mountain bikes or simply storing them and buying road bikes which offer easy access to exercise, great places to ride and more and better competitions. If you?re looking for a great bike to meet your needs then a Cannondale road bike is a great option.

It?s hard to find quality road bikes at affordable prices. But your search can stop with Cannondale which builds quality frames for all their bikes. Cannondale products have what you need in a bike whether you?re a competitive athlete or just enjoy riding in the great outdoors.

Cannondale?s CAAD series of bikes are a great option.

With the CAAD 10 you will forget you?re riding an aluminum frame as it is so smooth you will think you?re riding a carbon bike. It utilizes Shimano?s Ultegra components which are great for quality. Unfortunately they use Mavic Aksium wheels is a pretty low level wheel that they?re pairing with the great Ultegra group set. These wheels ride too harsh in my opinion for any rider. They uses Shimano?s RS-80 wheelset (great performing wheels) with Dura-Ace equipped bikes why not here.

A friend took one on a ride of 50 miles up 4,600 feet of gain and said it performed well. It was one long hard climb but the descent was a lot of fun. It had numerous switchbacks with some very steep sections with caution signs of 11% even 16% grade. It was an extremely good test of the bikes handling characteristics and the bike tracked very well into the hard corners. There were some caution signs for 10 mph along with some extreme banking. He said he was doing at least twice that speed without any problems even though it was his first time on the bike and that particular descent. Yet there was a feeling of total confidence in the bike and its limits. That also gives me great confidence in this bike.

This year?s CAAD10 is stiff, lightweight and very fast. While it is not super plush it still has enough comfort for your day long rides. As was already indicated it is nimble and can accelerate quickly. So when somebody passes you, you can respond with a few quick turns of the pedal this very efficient frame will have you back on their wheel.

Riding a bike for fun is great exercise but riding one competitively is a pure thrill. Either way it is really good for your cardiovascular fitness as well as your strength and muscle tone. However, if your bike is not quality built and fit to you properly, then you are putting yourself at high risk of injury.? It can be hard on your knees, back, groin and neck.

If you are wanting a great road bike to take your riding to the next level than I recommend you look at the Cannondale road bike the CAAD 10.
