What?s a good fitness program for the Three Peaks Challenge?
Hi,
In May, I?ll be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge along with five others from my school on behalf of the COINS Foundation, a charity. What is a good fitness program for a 16-year old? I?m 6?3 and athletic ;D
Also, anything else I should know?
P.S. For those who don?t know, the 3PC is attempting to climb three mountains in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours.

The ideal program would be to walk up and down loads of big hills, carrying the same weight and wearing the same footwear as you will on your 3 peaks attempt.
Failing that, as much walking up hills in your local area as you can. Cardiovascular fitness and strong hill-walking legs are basically what you need!
But remember to PROPERLY field-test your socks and boots to make sure they are still comfortable during a long walk. Also field-test your clothes (including your underwear ? important!) to make sure it?s not chafing anywhere.
